So, what’s your opinion? Did the big wigs get it right? Or did your fave campaign of all time fail to make the cut?

Apple sells one million iPads.
In only 28 days.

As a self-admitted Apple junkie, I’m a bit embarrassed to say I was initially skeptical of the “revolutionary” iPad. I mean, come on… it’s just a larger version of the iPhone (which I l-o-v-e, btw), right? Sure, the larger screen is drool-worthy, but who wants to tote that thing around? And the price? Oy vey.

But the masses have spoken and I am being overruled. In just 28 days, Apple has sold one million iPads.  That’s less than half of the 74 days it took to sell the same number of iPhones. And we’re in a recession, people.

Did I mention that Apple hit this milestone on Friday, the first day the 3G model was available to consumers? (Previously, all of the iPads only had wi-fi access.) Wowzers.

Currently, the iPhone and iPod Touch (collectively) hold the record for the fastest-adopted gadget in consumer tech history, but it took over two years for sales to pick up steam. With one million devices sold in under one month, the iPad could easily overtake that title in the near future.

So, what’s your opinion? Is the iPad really the game-changing, personal computing device of the future? Or is it all hype?
